Legal services outsourcing saves firms 44%

A recent study into LPO by PricewaterhouseCoopers, identified legal services outsourcing as providing savings of 44% to legal departments and law firms and a conclusion that the economic benefits of legal services outsourcing are undeniable. It is imprudent for any professional managing a legal budget not to at least explore the possibility of outsourcing legal work as we enter the new decade.

Cost-saving is paramount in the wake of the economic downturn and is causing demand for legal process outsourcing providers to soar. With pressure on the traditional law firm model and in-house legal departments being forced to reassess how they manage legal spend, it is no surprise that 2010 is being touted as a watershed year for LPO.
